We are hiring a VC analyst intern!
About Five Seasons Ventures
Five Seasons Ventures is the first European impact Venture Capital fund focused on Foodtech. We believe that Foodtech can help solve two of today’s key pressing issues: climate change and human health. That’s why we do it!
The European Foodtech market is booming and addresses all parts of the supply chain: from more sustainable production to plastic free packaging solutions to more nutritious products for the ever more demanding consumer.
At FSV, we are right in the middle of it. We invest in European early stage to Series B startups that develop or apply tech to consumer food brands to create new product categories or disrupt dormant ones through product or business model innovation.
Our current fund is a €180m impact fund that we closed in summer 2021 from which we have done 6 investments so far: KoRo, Barkyn, Vly, Her1, the Nu Company, Pyxo and Mammaly (and we keep counting!). Our portfolio of our first fund varies from Germany based beverage startup Air Up to France hottest e-grocery player La Fourche. Read more about our portfolio here: www.fiveseasons.vc/portfolio
We are a team of eight people from various countries and backgrounds with expertise across venture investing, food production and nutrition, sustainability, and corporate governance. Our office is based in Paris. Currently we are looking for an exceptional intern to join our investment team!
This internship ideally starts between October 2022 and March 2023 for a period of 6 months. When we see a fit on both sides after the internship finishes, there is the possibility to start as a full-time analyst in our team.
Internship Description
· Researching and distilling market information into clear and succinct reports (named Point of Views) about specific Foodtech sub segments and trends like pet food, snacking, circular economy etc.
· Sourcing and assessing new investment opportunities: we have a large inbound deal flow, but we work hard at discovering the best opportunities in a few other ways (for example: by attending events, reaching out to startups we spot in newsletters).
· Supporting the deal teams with new investments by performing specific analysis including analysis of market, competition, business plans and part of due diligence.
· Working on our newsletter Bread and Butter with associates from our team to help them prepare content and find the relevant pieces of news.
· Help us further strengthen the FSV brand by increase our presence on social media, food tech events, and other relevant (online) happenings

· You are a team player with an attitude to learn as much as you can and not afraid to give and take feedback. Continuous improvement is something that is in your nature.
